About this role

The Sector Head, Emerging Sectors oversees relationships with clients in the bank's Emerging Sectors segment, developing strategies to grow market share and support relationship managers. The role involves leading the sector's activities, managing day-to-day operations, and driving cross-selling and credit processes. Based in Lagos.

What you would do

• Formulate and supervise the implementation of strategies, targets and marketing goals for the Emerging Sectors sector.
• Develop and implement initiatives to achieve the sector's budget and financial goals approved by management.
• Monitor market changes and customer needs, providing timely information to support opportunities.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the sector and support relationship managers and account officers.
• Cross-sell the bank's products and identify profitable assets for the bank.
• Perform credit reviews of customer businesses and support recommendations for facilities.

What they are asking for

• Minimum of 10 years' cognate experience, including sector experience.
• First degree or its equivalent; Master’s degree or equivalent (added advantage).
• Related professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Deep knowledge of credit analysis and bank credit culture, policies and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of target sub-sectors; high IT proficiency; ability to think and act independently and work under pressure.
• Leadership capability with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
