A reputable school in Lagos is looking to hire a full-time School Bus Driver to transport pupils to and from school along Ago Palace Way and surrounding areas. The role requires a safety‑mocused, experienced driver who can maintain discipline on the bus and ensure timely pick‑ups and drop‑offs. The driver should perform pre‑ and post‑trip checks, monitor vehicle condition and maintenance needs, keep the bus clean, and comply with traffic laws and school policies. Priority is given to candidates with prior school bus driving experience and a valid license, who are medically fit and available to resume immediately. Salary is in the range of ₦90,000 to ₦100,000 per month, with immediate resumption for suitable candidates.
What you would do
- Transport pupils to and from school according to schedules and routes
- Pick up and drop off pupils at designated locations and ensure safe handover
- Maintain discipline and safety standards on the bus
- Conduct routine checks on the bus before and after each trip
- Monitor fuel, vehicle condition, and maintenance needs
- Keep the bus clean and in good working condition
- Comply with traffic laws, school policies and road safety regulations
- Report mechanical faults, accidents, delays, or other incidents to management
- Maintain accurate trip records and report concerns involving pupils or vehicle operations
- Demonstrate patience, alertness and professionalism at all times
