Sales Executive

Union Systems Limited in Lagos is seeking a Sales Executive to drive revenue growth for its software solutions, with a focus on the banking and financial services sector. The role requires a commercially driven leader who can close complex enterprise deals, build executive relationships, and expand market presence inside and outside Nigeria.

What you would do

• Develop and implement the sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets across banks, financial institutions, fintechs, and enterprise clients.
• Lead end-to-end sales cycles from prospecting to contract closure and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
• Manage relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to ensure client retention.
• Drive market development by identifying trends, increasing market penetration in the banking and financial services sector, and representing the company at industry events.
• Build, mentor and manage a high-performing sales team with defined processes, metrics and accountability.
• Oversee bid and proposal activities, including RFPs, RFQs and tender submissions, ensuring solutions meet client needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in B2B sales; at least 7 years in a senior sales leadership role.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets and experience selling enterprise software solutions, technology services, or digital transformation.
• Experience selling to banks, financial institutions, fintechs, or large enterprises is highly preferred.
• Competencies in enterprise software sales, solution selling, business development, strategic selling, negotiation and closing, pipeline management and revenue forecasting.
• Leadership and relationship management skills including team leadership, coaching, executive stakeholder engagement, client relationship management, influencing, and communication.
