About this role
AIDHealth Inc. is looking for a Safeguarding and Ethics Focal Point Officer on a part-time, hybrid contract to support safeguarding, ethics submissions and data protection activities, mainly for Northern Nigeria. The role targets candidates with experience in safeguarding or GBV case management and knowledge of data protection and research ethics requirements.
What you would do
- Organise psychosocial support for coders and maintain the restricted incident log.
- Prepare the research ethics submission and the Data Protection Impact Assessment.
- Run the disclosure-escalation protocol and notify the Partner of any risk content, routing cases to vetted services.
- Manage informed consent for community panel members.
What they are asking for
- At least 3 years of safeguarding, PSEA or GBV case management experience in Northern Nigeria.
- Knowledge of GBV referral pathways in Northern Nigeria and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Social Work, Public Health, Law or a related field.
- Fluent in Hausa and English.
