Rope Access Welding II

About this role

Rope Access Welding II role with Scruples Resources based in Lagos. The job involves planning and performing rope-access tasks in line with approved procedures and access plans, while supporting inspection, NDT, coating, welding, repair or specialist activities and maintaining safe positioning. Candidates should hold IRATA rope-access competence and relevant qualifications, with experience in industrial, construction or offshore environments.

What you would do

• Plan and execute rope-access tasks in accordance with approved procedures and access plans.
• Inspect ropes, harnesses, anchors, connectors and other access equipment before use.
• Support inspection, NDT, coating, welding, repair or specialist activities while maintaining safe positioning.
• Establish exclusion zones and maintain effective communication with the work team.
• Record work completed, defects identified, measurements and equipment status.
• Participate in rescue planning, toolbox talks, risk assessments and permit-to-work controls.

• Working-at-height and rescue awareness.
• Good understanding of inspection/maintenance activities relevant to the assignment.
• Strong HSE discipline and physical fitness for the work environment.
• Relevant degree, HND, OND, trade qualification or recognised professional certification appropriate to the discipline and level.
• Relevant industrial, construction, oil & gas, marine or project experience is preferred; role-specific statutory, technical, offshore, safety or professional certifications shall be provided where required by the client, site or applicable standards.
