RMNCAEH Quality of Care (QoC) Mentor

About this role

The RMNCAEH QoC Mentor at Jhpiego in Kebbi will provide on-site mentoring, coaching and technical assistance to health facilities to strengthen RMNCAH+N services and improve quality of care. The role uses data-driven approaches, conducts quarterly QoC assessments across facilities using the eight standards of care, and supports teams to implement quality improvement.

What you would do

• Conduct regular facility visits (about 20 days per month) to provide on-site mentoring and coaching.
• Support providers to implement high-impact RMNCAEH and nutrition interventions.
• Reinforce adherence to national clinical protocols, standards and guidelines (including IPC).
• Review facility performance data and help teams use it for evidence-based decision making.
• Facilitate quality improvement activities, including root-cause analysis and PDSA cycles, and monitor progress.
• Strengthen Quality Improvement Teams (QITs) through orientation, planning, monthly meetings and action tracking.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, midwifery, medicine, public health, community health or another relevant health field.
• Master's degree in public health, nursing, midwifery, health services management or related field is an added advantage.
• Valid professional registration and current practising licence with the relevant regulatory body, where applicable.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in RMNCAEH, primary healthcare, quality improvement or health systems strengthening.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience providing facility-level mentoring, coaching, supportive supervision or technical assistance.
• Experience working with primary healthcare facilities and health workers, preferably within Nigeria; experience implementing RMNCAH and nutrition interventions.
