A Risk Officer is needed in Lagos to identify, assess and manage risks across credit, operations, compliance and business activities for a micro-finance NGO. The role targets individuals with analytical skills and experience in risk, credit or compliance within financial services.
What you would do
- Identify and assess financial, credit, operational, compliance and reputational risks
- Maintain a risk register and incident records with mitigation actions
- Track key risk indicators and follow up on corrective actions
- Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements
- Support regulatory compliance, audits, inspections and reviews
- Prepare periodic risk reports for management and assist in developing risk policies and procedures

- Bachelor's degree or HND in risk management, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, banking and finance, statistics or a related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in risk management, credit, financial services, internal control, audit or compliance
- Strong credit and financial analysis skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of internal controls and regulatory requirements
