A Risk Manager is sought to oversee enterprise, credit, and operational risk management for a Lagos-based microfinance bank, ensuring adherence to risk limits and regulatory requirements. The role targets candidates with solid risk management experience in financial institutions, including digital banking environments.
What you would do
- Develop and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
- Identify, assess, monitor and report risks across the bank; maintain the Risk Register and ensure timely mitigations.
- Monitor loan portfolio quality and conduct independent reviews of credit proposals and risk exposures.
- Identify operational risk exposures and conduct risk and control self-assessments; ensure effective internal controls.
- Prepare periodic risk reports for management and regulators; track KRIs and escalate breaches.
- Coordinate business continuity planning, information security risk assessments and training on risk awareness.

- Minimum 5-8 years in risk management, credit risk, internal control, audit, compliance or related function.
- Experience in a digital banking environment with digital loan products is important.
- Professional certification such as CIBN MCP is an added advantage; willingness to certify within the first year is required.
