About this role
The role is for a Risk Manager to identify, assess, monitor and mitigate risks affecting the organisation’s operations, reputation, finances and strategic aims. The position ensures the Enterprise Risk Management framework, policies and controls are implemented and maintained in line with business goals, regulatory requirements and best practices. The successful candidate provides strategic risk advisory support to management and fosters a strong risk management culture across the company.
What you would do
- Identify risks that could impact the organisation and assess their potential effects
- Monitor risk exposure and maintain risk management processes
- Develop and maintain risk registers and risk assessment methodologies
- Prepare risk reports and communicate findings to management and stakeholders
- Ensure alignment of ERM framework with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Advise management on risk mitigation strategies and control enhancements
- Promote and embed a risk management culture across the organisation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support risk management initiatives
- Support internal audit, compliance and governance activities as needed
- Utilise risk management systems and tools to manage risk information
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field
- Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage
- Professional certifications such as CRM, CRISC, CIA, ACCA, CISA or other risk management qualifications preferred
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance or enterprise risk management
- Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors is desirable
- Strong knowledge of COSO and ISO 31000 frameworks
- Experience in developing risk registers, risk assessment methodologies and risk reporting frameworks
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills
- High integrity, professionalism, and ability to influence and engage stakeholders
