Risk, Compliance & Assurance Manager

A full-time Risk, Compliance and Assurance Manager role based in Lagos (Lekki area) for Phillips Outsourcing Limited. The position focuses on maintaining and coordinating the company’s risk management framework, policies, compliance obligations, and assurance activities. The employer provides outsourcing services across multiple sectors in Nigeria and is expanding its footprint to other African nations. The role involves leading risk and compliance workstreams, governance activities, and reporting to support a risk-aware culture.
What you would do
- Maintain the Enterprise Risk Management policy, taxonomy, methodology, risk register, risk-appetite proposals, KRIs and risk treatment tracking.
- Facilitate quarterly and event-driven risk assessments for new clients, contracts, services, technologies and significant changes.
- Maintain the regulatory and contractual obligations register with owners, evidence and review dates.
- Coordinate ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 calendars, management reviews, internal audit schedules and corrective actions.
- Maintain policy governance standards, central policy register, approval workflow and review calendar.
- Set BIA and BCM methodology, challenge recovery plans, coordinate exercises and report readiness.
- Monitor complaints, non-conformities, compliance breaches, risk events and recurring root causes.
- Prepare risk, compliance, quality and resilience content for monthly and quarterly reports.
- Coach risk owners and risk champions to support a practical, risk-aware culture.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Law, Risk Management or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in risk, compliance, quality, audit or governance, including 3 years leading workstreams in outsourcing, payroll, professional services or regulated-client environments.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CRMA, IRM, or ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (or equivalent).
- Technical knowledge of ERM, compliance registers, QMS / ISMS coordination, policy governance, BIA/BCM and Board reporting.
- Integrity, confidentiality and strong interpersonal skills.
