Restaurant Accountant

About this role

The role is for an Accounts Officer in the restaurant and hospitality business, handling financial transactions, reconciliations and stock-related reporting. It targets candidates with accounting qualifications and experience who can work with minimal supervision in Lagos.

What you would do

• Process data from sales and purchase ledgers from invoicing to transaction completion.
• Reconcile bank statements with payment vouchers and ledgers.
• Process financial transactions using Sage and other accounting software.
• Determine costs for performances and activities to enable comparison across periods.
• Conduct monthly stock valuation, stock taking and stock reconciliation; monitor the budget.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile inter-branch accounts.

• HND in Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Excel and data analytics; able to work with little supervision.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literate with experience in standard office applications and accounting software (e.g., NAV, SAGE, Peachtree, QuickBooks).
• Willingness to work in Itire/Lawanson/Surulere axis.
