Resident Site Engineering Superintendent
About this role
The Resident Site Engineering Superintendent (RSES-D) for SPIE Oil & Gas Services is based in Rivers, Nigeria. The role acts as the company representative on site in Bonny and ensures construction works comply with project objectives, HSE rules and ISO 14001 requirements, while coordinating construction, commissioning and production activities to meet schedule and performance targets.
What you would do
- Exercise delegated RSES authority within the assigned perimeter, ensuring activities are performed safely in line with HSE rules, procedures and technical references.
- Lead the site team and coordinate interfaces between construction, commissioning and production to meet schedule and performance objectives.
- Manage SIMOPS risk assessment and ensure appropriate risk controls; verify the Permit to Work system before authorising work.
- Act as the project manager's on-site representative and main point of contact for contractors, maintaining clear communication with operations, HSE personnel and contractors.
- Enforce HSE rules, ensure contractor practices meet company standards, and monitor environmental management in line with ISO 14001.
- Monitor progress and prepare reports, including weekly progress for each package and final documentation, and ensure necessary documents are produced for the Final Documentation Dossier.

- Proven Brownfield / SIMOPS project experience.
- Strong HSE leadership and authority.
- Experience in progress reporting.
- Good understanding of engineering documents.
- Strong coordination and interface management skills; ability to anticipate operational and construction risks and manage priorities in a complex operational environment.
