Resident School Nurse

What you would do
- Monitor sick pupils and students, especially boarders, and arrange hospital referrals when necessary
- Administer prescribed medications following professional standards
- Promote personal hygiene, infection prevention and general health awareness
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
- Respond to medical emergencies and authorised admissions outside regular school hours
- Provide first aid, basic nursing care and initial assessment of illnesses and injuries
- Monitor clinic supplies, first-aid materials and medical equipment
- Conduct health education sessions and report significant medical incidents to management
What they are asking for
- Valid registration and practising licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) is an advantage
- Registered Nurse (RN) / Registered Community Nurse or equivalent nursing qualification
- Relevant clinical experience; school or paediatric nursing experience is an advantage
- Compassion, integrity, professionalism and genuine interest in children's health and welfare
- Current first-aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) training is an advantage
- Good communication, record-keeping and emergency-response skills
