Researcher, Citizenship By Investment and Third-Party Due Diligence

About this role

A research role focused on compliance due diligence, including enhanced due diligence for Citizenship By Investment, corporate compliance and financial crime projects. Based in Lagos, working within a team that conducts OSINT and HUMINT research and reports findings.

What you would do

• Work on due diligence assignments including enhanced due diligence for CBI purposes
• Conduct media and database research using complex criteria
• Liaise with in-country sources to obtain information not available via OSINT
• Analyse search results within project and country context
• Summarise findings in reports and rate risk levels
• Brief internal colleagues and collaborate on joint projects when required

What they are asking for

• Interest in indicators of money laundering and identity fraud and assessing residual risk
• Familiarity with the risk landscape of one or more core regions (former Soviet Union, South, East and Southeast Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, MENA)
• Fluency in written and spoken English with clear business English writing
• Ability to communicate complex topics effectively, verbally and in writing
• Ability to summarise large amounts of information concisely
• Ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines and work both independently and in a team
