Research Assistant Intern
About this role
A Research Assistant Intern role in Abuja supporting the AgriNova Africa pilot by collecting and synthesising country-level evidence to inform the 12-month design and rollout, focusing on young farmers, digital behaviours, and existing digital services.
What you would do
- Review and document evidence on platform reach and youth adoption
- Participate in project meetings and report progress and data gaps
- Map priority youth farmer journeys and potential AI-enabled and digital services
- Conduct desk and field research on agriculture, youth, extension and digital ecosystems
- Organise and curate research data, interview records, and stakeholder lists
- Identify barriers to usage of existing services and assist in country context briefs and ecosystem maps

- Bachelor's degree or final-year undergraduate in a relevant field (agriculture, development studies, economics, social sciences, ICT)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Google Workspace
- Good written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
- Demonstrated interest or exposure to agriculture, digital agriculture or development programs
- Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO) is an advantage
