Research and Development Officer
About this role
Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited in Lagos is hiring a Research and Development Officer to support the R&D team with new product development and reformulation, including pilot formulation and rework processing. The role is for someone with a science background and experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
What you would do
- Execute formulation development for oral solids, oral liquids and topicals
- Conduct pre-formulation studies for formulation development
- Initiate stability studies for new and existing products
- Withdraw and transfer stability samples to relevant laboratories
- Carry out laboratory trials for reformulation of existing products
- Prepare technical documents related to formulation development
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in a science-related discipline (Chemistry-based)
- Minimum of three (4) years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Understanding of the chemistry of API and excipients
- Understanding of validation, qualification, and technology transfer
- Ability to identify and solve complex formulation-related problems
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams, including R&D and manufacturing
