Research Analyst
About this role
ARM Hold Co. is hiring a Research Analyst in Lagos. The role focuses on researching and forecasting capital market instruments and macroeconomic variables, and delivering notes and recommendations to internal teams and clients to aid investment decisions.
What you would do
- Conduct research on securities, industry and company data and publish reports with recommendations for internal teams and clients
- Analyse macroeconomic indicators and forecast their impact on the economy and markets
- Value companies using methods such as discounted cash flow and dividend discount model to inform target prices and decisions
- Monitor investment securities through active surveillance to identify trends and opportunities
- Contribute to business development by preparing research materials for client pitches and building analytical tools
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry events and cover market sectors and regions, presenting findings to internal and external clients
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration or related field; master's degree is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in investment research, financial analysis or related role
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, PowerPoint, machine learning and data visualization platforms
- Experience in financial modelling and valuation using methods such as DCF and DDM
- Experience inputting data into financial models
