Relationship Officer

About this role

Tempkers Limited in Abuja is seeking a proactive Relationship Officer with banking experience to acquire and manage customers, grow the portfolio and contribute to revenue. The role involves identifying and converting prospects, managing customer accounts, and promoting financial products for individuals, SMEs and corporate clients.

What you would do

• Acquire new customers and grow the customer base through proactive business development and relationship management.
• Identify prospective customers through referrals, networking, field visits, existing contacts, market research and other approved channels.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers and provide timely support.
• Promote and sell financial products and services; generate leads and convert prospects into active customers.
• Manage assigned customer accounts and portfolios; monitor activity and ensure documentation is complete and up to date.
• Drive deposits and portfolio growth within the assigned portfolio by identifying opportunities to attract deposits and increase balances.

What they are asking for

• Age 24–30 years.
• HND or BSc in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' banking or financial services experience.
• Prior experience in related banking roles (e.g., Relationship Officer, Account Officer, Relationship Manager) is strongly preferred.
• Practical experience in customer acquisition, account management, sales or deposit mobilisation.
• Residence in Abuja or strong knowledge of the Abuja market; proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM or banking platforms is an advantage; strong communication and numerical abilities.
