Regional Solar Installation and Maintenance Technician (Delta)

Sun King is hiring a Regional Solar Installation and Maintenance Technician to cover Delta and oversee solar inverter installations, maintenance, and technical support within the region. The role focuses on delivering service excellence, managing a network of installers, and ensuring system performance is monitored and optimised. What you would do
- Install, commission, troubleshoot and repair Sun King solar inverter systems for customers in the assigned zone.
- Monitor system performance remotely and identify issues; initiate proactive maintenance visits.
- Prepare reports on uptime, performance ratios and recurring fault codes to inform service planning.
- Conduct installation audits and implement corrective actions to meet quality and safety standards.
- Review installations against quality checklists and ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage and develop the installer network, providing technical guidance and training.
- Identify, onboard and train third-party installers to broaden service coverage.
- Submit periodic service, audit, and installer performance reports to the After-Sales Manager.
- Document all service activities, audits and spare parts usage in company systems.
- Oversee inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment within the zone; manage logistics as needed.

- Experience in after-sales service delivery and technical assistance (4+ years) in electronic consumer goods, solar inverter systems or mobile devices.
- Degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of solar inverter systems, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
