Refinery Lead
About this role
The Refinery Lead is responsible for directing refinery operations to ensure safe, efficient and environmentally compliant processing of petroleum products. It requires strong leadership and technical expertise and involves integrating refinery activities with the firm's waste management, pollution control and product supply services. Based in Delta, the position targets experienced engineers with a degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering and substantial leadership experience in refinery operations.
What you would do
- Direct daily refinery operations, including crude distillation and product blending, while ensuring product quality.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulations, environmental laws and best practices.
- Lead and mentor engineers, technicians and operators.
- Collaborate with the environmental unit to minimise emissions and manage waste.
- Coordinate with marketing and haulage divisions to ensure timely product distribution.
- Monitor performance metrics such as throughput, yield, downtime and cost efficiency.

- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in refinery operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian oil and gas regulations and international refinery standards.
- Proven track record in environmental compliance and waste management integration.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
