Quantity Surveyor
About this role
A full-time Quantity Surveyor is sought by Confederated Facilitators Limited in Lagos. The role focuses on cost estimation, budgeting, BOQ preparation, contract administration and cost control across the company’s construction projects. The employer operates across multiple sectors including real estate, construction and infrastructure, with Masters Reality as a key subsidiary involved in housing development. The successful candidate will work with engineers, architects, contractors and project managers and produce regular cost reports."
What you would do
- Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates and final accounts
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Evaluate contractors’ quotations, tenders and variation claims
- Conduct detailed measurements and material take-offs
- Perform site inspections to verify completed work and materials used
- Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors and project managers
- Prepare regular cost reports for management
- Monitor construction costs to keep projects within budgets
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual terms and company policies
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and project budgets
What they are asking for
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in real estate or construction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
- BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, tendering and contract administration
- Experience with QS tools and software; CostX, PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu is an advantage
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Membership of NIQS or relevant professional registration is an advantage
- Knowledge of QS tools: AutoCAD, CostX/PlanSwift, Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam Revu
