Quantity Surveyor
About this role
Megastar Technical & Construction Company in Rivers is hiring a Quantity Surveyor. The role is for a qualified professional with at least five years' experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management, responsible for cost estimation, tender support, cost control and contract administration.
What you would do
- Compile and input data for ongoing projects.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
- Assist in tender documentation and bid submissions.
- Monitor project costs and maintain cost control.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage subcontractor accounts.
- Track variations and claims.
What they are asking for
- HND or BSc degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Fully qualified Quantity Surveyor; NIQS membership/registration is an added advantage.
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
- Strong cost estimation and cost control skills.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills; good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with Microsoft Project is an added advantage.
