About this role

Quality Control - Mechanical position with Horatio Limited in Lagos. The job focuses on inspecting mechanical construction and installation activities, reviewing drawings, specifications, material submittals and ITPs, and verifying materials, equipment and workmanship against quality requirements. It is aimed at candidates with a mechanical engineering background and 3-5 years of quality control experience in mechanical construction or installation, preferably in oil & gas, construction or industrial projects.

What you would do

• Inspect mechanical construction and installation activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, material submittals and ITPs.
• Verify materials, equipment and workmanship against quality requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing and mechanical completion activities.
• Raise non-conformance reports and follow up on corrective actions.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years' quality control experience in mechanical construction or installation.
• Preferably in oil & gas, construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction, inspection, quality control, piping, equipment installation, welding and pressure testing.
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications and ITPs.
• Certifications in quality management, inspection, welding or mechanical inspection are an added advantage.
