Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Officer
About this role
A QA/QC Officer is needed to oversee and assure quality across X-Force Engineering Limited's construction projects in Abuja. The role focuses on monitoring works, conducting site inspections, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards. The candidate will work with project managers, engineers, contractors, and supervisors to maintain high workmanship and project quality. What you would do
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, workmanship, and progress.
- Ensure activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, building codes, and standards.
- Inspect materials and completed works for quality conformity.
- Monitor critical activities and ensure quality checks precede subsequent work.
- Identify defects, deviations, and quality risks and coordinate prompt resolutions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures across sites.
- Verify construction activities meet established quality benchmarks and project requirements.
- Document non-conformances and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow up on defects and ensure corrective works are completed.
- Prepare site inspection reports, QC checklists, non-conformance reports, and other documentation.

- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant QA/QC or site inspection experience in construction.
- Knowledge of building construction methods, materials, workmanship standards, and QC processes.
- Understanding of architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
- Experience in site inspections, defect identification, and technical reporting.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards is an advantage.
- Experience with construction companies, property developers, or engineering consultancies is desirable.
