Quality Assurance Officer / Shift Quality Supervisor
About this role
A full-time Quality Assurance Officer / Shift Quality Supervisor role based in Ilupeju, Lagos. The position is with Ascentech Services Limited, a human resources solutions company supporting client organisations with HR, recruitment and related services. The job focuses on supervising quality control across flexible packaging production, ensuring materials and finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in flexible packaging manufacturing, including printing, lamination, slitting, pouch making and lab testing, and will implement corrective actions and maintain quality documentation. The role requires coordinating quality activities with production teams during assigned shifts.
What you would do
- Oversee quality control activities across flexible packaging production processes
- Ensure raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products meet established quality standards
- Identify production defects and implement corrective actions
- Maintain quality documentation and records
- Ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards
- Coordinate with production teams to manage quality during shifts
- Conduct laboratory tests and inspections of packaging materials
- Monitor process controls and quality metrics
- Assist in implementing root cause analysis and CAPA actions
- Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives in the production line
What they are asking for
- BSc, HND, BTech, MSc or related diploma in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Technology, Packaging Technology, Printing Technology or similar technical field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in flexible packaging or packaging manufacturing
- Practical knowledge of printing, lamination, slitting and pouch-making operations
- Experience in laboratory testing and quality inspection of flexible packaging materials
- Familiarity with NCR documentation, root cause analysis, CAPA and customer quality requirements
- Knowledge of packaging quality standards, SOPs and process control procedures
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with production teams and manage quality activities on assigned shifts
