Quality Assurance Lead Pharmacist (Retail Chain)

A Lagos-based retailer in the pharmacy sector is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead Pharmacist to provide independent quality oversight across procurement, warehouses, fulfilment centres and retail stores. The role focuses on ensuring products in pharmaceutical, healthcare, wellness, cosmetic and other regulated categories meet quality and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will establish and manage the QA/QC framework, SOPs and quality controls, and drive continuous improvement while overseeing supplier quality, inspections and audits. The position requires a qualified pharmacist with experience in QA, regulatory affairs and pharmaceutical quality, capable of leading multiple locations. Remuneration is performance-based with up to N800,000 per month, plus benefits and career development opportunities."
What you would do
- Establish and implement the company-wide QA/QC framework and SOPs.
- Lead quality controls across procurement, warehouses, fulfilment centres and stores.
- Manage quality incidents, complaints, non-conformities and CAPA.
- Build and lead the QA/QC function and promote a quality culture.
- Oversee incoming product inspection, supplier quality and quality audits.
- Develop quality reports and dashboards and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor storage, fulfilment and retail quality standards.
What they are asking for
- BPharm or PharmD with valid Pharmacist licence.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Pharmaceutical, healthcare, retail or FMCG experience is strongly preferred.
- Core competencies in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmaceutical Quality.
- Strong knowledge of NAFDAC, GMP and GDP.
- Proven ability to implement quality standards across multiple locations or business units.
- Strong analytical, investigation, problem-solving and leadership skills.
