Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) Engineer

About this role

QAQC Engineer role for a civil engineering and construction company, based in Lagos. Seeks candidates with solid quality assurance and control experience across major civil works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and ISO quality systems.

What you would do

• Submit inspection requests to clients, engineers or supervisors
• Perform on-site quality checks for civil, structural and finishing works
• Coordinate and witness site quality tests (soil compaction, concrete tests, NDT, etc.)
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and manage non-conformances and corrective actions
• Implement and manage the Project Quality Plan, ITPs and method statements
• Inspect materials, monitor subcontractor work and coordinate with procurement and stakeholders

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 4 to 8 years of direct QA/QC experience on major civil or related projects
• Certifications such as CSWIP, NACE or ACI (if applicable)
• ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor certification desirable
• Relevant professional registration (e.g., COREN/NSE) an advantage
