Quality Assurance and Quality Control Officer - Valves

About this role

A full-time Quality Assurance and Quality Control Officer for valves, based in the Lagos area. The role targets individuals with hands-on QA/QC experience in valve production, inspection and testing, with the ability to work independently and with teams.

What you would do

• Review work orders or blueprints to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Act as valve storekeeper and equipment logger as required.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Conduct product tests and assessments to verify specifications and functionality.
• Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic and seat leakage tests.
• Identify defects, document issues, and recommend corrective actions; sort defects by type and initiate repairs as needed.

What they are asking for

• Minimum 3 years QA/QC experience in a production environment, with valve assembly plant exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, Geology, IT or related field.
• Solid product testing and quality control skills; good written, oral and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong problem-solving and safety awareness.
• Experience with valve inspection and testing; knowledge of ASME and API 510/570/598 is an advantage.
• Knowledge of blueprints, mathematics and computer skills.
