About this role
A QA/QC Supervisor is needed to lead quality management across WEAFRI Well Services’ assets and projects in Delta and Rivers. The role focuses on enforcing QMS compliance, managing inspections for fabrication, piping and maintenance to meet international oilfield standards. The position requires extensive QA/QC experience in oil and gas, with leadership responsibilities over HODs and QA/QC activities. The employer provides services to the oil and gas industry onshore, offshore and deep offshore with equipment and projects across West Africa.
What you would do
- Establish and maintain QMS processes in line with ISO 9001:2015.
- Coordinate with external parties on QMS planning and implementation.
- Manage the QMS and drive corrective and preventive actions and continual improvements.
- Develop and oversee API Q1 and Q2 based quality management activities.
- Guide HODs and supervisors on quality system compliance and activities.
- Ensure calibration and certification of all equipment and maintain related records.
- Oversee welding procedures, welder qualifications, and coordinate NDT/NDE activities.
- Plan and coordinate QMS audits and propose action plans for improvements.
- Verify material test certificates, heat numbers and PMI for asset integrity.
- Lead site facility and vendor shop quality audits to enforce compliance.
What they are asking for
- BEng or BSc in Engineering, Metallurgy or Materials Science (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of progressive QA/QC experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in oil and gas.
- Experience with onshore and offshore facilities, well services, and equipment manufacturing/repair.
- Working knowledge of ASME Sec VIII, IX, B31.3; API Q1 and Q2; ISO 9001:2015; ISO 29001.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor (IRCA) and CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI; ASNT NDT Level II in two methods.
- Strong leadership, fault diagnosis, reporting, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to HSE and zero-tolerance for safety and quality violations.
