QA / QC Engineer – Civil & Structural

A QA / QC Engineer for civil and structural works is sought by Collection Developments in Lagos. The role focuses on implementing and supervising quality management processes across construction projects, including quality plans, inspection and test plans, method statements, site inspections, and material assurance. What you would do

• Implement the Project Quality Management Plan, ITPs and method statements.
• Conduct routine site inspections and sign off on concrete pours and structural elements.
• Inspect incoming materials and verify supplier test certificates; oversee field and laboratory testing.
• Issue non-conformance reports and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage audits and maintain audit-ready QA/QC logs.
• Oversee pre-handover snagging and witness NDT and water-tightness tests.
• Support handover processes and ensure proper documentation.
• Review and verify structural/MEP shop drawings.
• Utilise QA/QC tools and maintain quality records.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality standards are met.

What they are asking for

• BSc/BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years QA/QC experience in heavy building construction, high-rise developments, or major civil projects.
• Preferred certifications: ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor, CSWIP, NACE, or OSHA/NEBOSH.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, BS Eurocodes, concrete technology, waterproofing, and reading structural/MEP drawings.
• Proficiency with BIM 360, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or MS Office
