QA / QC and HSE Manager
About this role
Sisa Method Limited is recruiting for a QA/QC and HSE Manager to support the Ajaokuta Mini LNG project in Kogi State. The role focuses on ensuring construction and equipment installation meet design, contract and statutory requirements, with safety and compliance throughout until first gas. The position targets individuals with strong QA/QC and HSE experience in oil and gas or industrial construction, and requires coordinating with process safety specialists, OEMs and site teams. The project aims to deliver a lean, high-accountability execution team and emphasises stop-work authority and regulatory compliance. The role is based in Kogi with full-time engagement for first gas delivery.
What you would do
- Develop and maintain the project quality plan and inspection and test plans with acceptance criteria
- Maintain incident, near-miss and corrective-action registers and track closure
- Conduct risk-based site surveillance and witness hold points
- Coordinate with process-safety specialists and OEMs on hazard studies and safety readiness
- Maintain environmental and social compliance records and promote stop-work authority
- Implement the project HSE plan including inductions, permit-to-work, risk assessments, lifting safety and emergency response
- Coordinate receipt inspections for equipment from China and manage non-conformance reports to closure
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, HSE or a related discipline
- 7+ years of QA/QC and HSE experience on oil and gas, process or industrial construction projects
- Ability to stop unsafe work with independence and courage
- Familiarity with Nigerian HSE and environmental regulations
- Knowledge of process safety, permit-to-work, hazardous-area and pressure-system requirements
- Recognised HSE qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH; QA/QC inspector certification (e.g. CSWIP, ASNT, API) is an advantage
