Project Planning Engineer / Scheduler

About this role

A full-time or project-based role for a Project Planning Engineer / Scheduler to develop and manage schedules for gas turbine power plant projects, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction and other teams. Based in Rivers and reporting to the Head of Operations & Projects / Project Manager, the role supports project controls and timely delivery.

What you would do

• Create detailed project schedules aligned with scope and milestones
• Develop work breakdown structures, activity lists and logic networks
• Maintain baseline schedules and update progress against plan
• Monitor progress, identify variances and critical path constraints
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and planning dashboards
• Support recovery, mitigation and acceleration plans and assist in delay analyses

What they are asking for

• BEng/BSc/HND in engineering, project management, construction management, quantity surveying or related field
• 3–5 years in project planning, scheduling or project controls
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules for comparable projects
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 (or strong candidate with MS Project) and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of WBS, CPM, baselines, progress measurement and S-curves
• Ability to analyse Planned vs Actual, assess schedule risks and communicate findings
