Project Manager Storage Projects and CNG / LNG Gas Projects

About this role

Stockgap Fuels Limited, a Nigerian oil and gas company with a focus on downstream operations, is recruiting for a Project Manager to oversee storage infrastructure projects and gas projects (CNG and LNG). The role involves leading major storage facilities including a propane sphere and a fuel oil/bitumen storage site, as well as gas plants (4 MMSCFD CNG and 15 MMSCFD CNG/LNG). The position is based at the head office with travel to several sites across Nigeria, reporting to the Chief Program Management Officer. It targets experienced engineering and project management professionals with a background in oil and gas capital projects. Employment is full-time and location includes Rivers with site travel.

What you would do

• Secure regulatory approvals from relevant bodies (NMDPRA, Fire Service, NESREA, where applicable).
• Maintain PMIS controls, forecast reports, and stage-gate reporting.
• Close all HAZOP, SIL, PSSR, and MOC actions before hydrocarbons introduction.
• Oversee heavy erection, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, PSSR, and commissioning for storage systems.
• Lead concept selection, FEED, licensing, and EPC integration for CNG/CNG-LNG plants.
• Drive project execution plans and interface with stakeholders to meet project milestones.

What they are asking for

• BEng/BSc in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Process Engineering.
• Knowledge of API 650/620/2510, ASME VIII, NDT, HAZOP, SIL, and PSSR.
• 10–15 years in oil & gas capital projects; minimum 5 years as PM or Lead Engineer.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred; COREN registration a plus.
• Experience with pressurized or atmospheric storage facilities (spheres, bullets, tank farms).
• Experience with FEED-to-EPC gas projects is advantageous.
