Project Manager - Power / Utility

About this role

A Project Manager is sought to lead and coordinate power sector projects in Lagos, overseeing planning, execution and delivery while managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams. The role focuses on delivering technology and digital transformation projects for public sector and utility clients within time and budget constraints.

What you would do

• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including engineers, EPC contractors, OEM vendors and consultants.
• Develop project plans with timelines, budgets, risks, and procurement schedules.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of power sector projects.
• Manage changes to scope and client expectations.
• Maintain relationships with utility companies and regulatory bodies; report progress to management and funders.
• Ensure compliance with energy regulations, safety standards and procurement guidelines.

• Minimum of six years of proven project management experience, preferably delivering technology or digital transformation projects.
• Experience managing projects for public sector clients and understanding of government procurement processes.
• Professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum) preferred.

• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, risk management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools and knowledge of SDLC, SaaS, APIs and basic cloud concepts.
