Project Engineer, Senior
About this role
A senior project engineer role based in Lagos on a contract basis, supporting the engineering process and providing back up to the project manager. The role involves ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance, reviewing production and maintenance reports, and delivering engineering design evaluations within budget and schedule. It includes ITT development, bid evaluation, contractor selection, and coordinating various project stages and change processes. It requires strong leadership, multi-disciplinary experience in oil and gas, and excellent communication skills to interface with project teams and contractors.
What you would do
- Participate in ITT development, bid evaluation and contractor selection
- Coordinate development of Functional Interaction Plan
- Verify design and construction against project specifications and standards with the project team
- Coordinate CCAP Gate 3 deliverables
- Ensure smooth transitions between project stages
- Coordinate project issue resolution processes
- Coordinate change requests and endorse change authorisation
- Identify and source long lead equipment with FEED contractor support
- Lead the Project Management Team in applying PM systems
- Serve as the interface between the project team and the contractor

- Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications and processes
- Experience across multiple functions and projects (multi-discipline skill set)
- BS or MS degree in an engineering field
- Strong leadership, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
