Project Engineer, Senior
About this role
A senior project engineer position based in Lagos, supporting Scruples Resources across engineering design evaluations, project budgeting and scheduling, and regulatory compliance reviews. The role involves technical support for the engineering process, coordinating with project teams and contractors, and backing up the Project Manager as needed. It includes participation in tender processes, equipment sourcing, and ensuring project deliverables align with objectives and standards. The role requires leadership, strong organisational and communication skills, and experience in oil and gas projects with multi-disciplinary exposure.
What you would do
- Participate in invitation to tender development, bid evaluation and contractor selection
- Identify and source long lead equipment with FEED contractor support
- Coordinate development of CCAP Gate 3 deliverables
- Coordinate functional interaction planning
- Coordinate project issues resolution process
- Coordinate change requests and endorse change authorisation
- Ensure assigned work scope meets project objectives
- Engage project team and resources to verify design and construction compliance with specs and standards
- Serve as interface between project team and contractor
- Lead the Project Management Team in applying project management systems

- BS or MS degree in an engineering field
- At least 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Experience across engineering, construction, project management and controls
- Multi-disciplinary skill set with broad knowledge of design standards and processes

- Ability to work under tight deadlines and frequent priority changes
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
