A Project Engineer is being sought by a technical services and engineering solutions company based in Warri, Delta, to coordinate engineering and construction activities for onshore and offshore fabrication and installation projects. The role focuses on ensuring technical compliance, timely delivery, quality, safety and overall project success. It targets professionals with substantial experience in fabrication and installation of piping and structural steelwork, and requires coordinating multiple stakeholders across disciplines. What you would do
- Coordinate and monitor engineering, fabrication and installation activities across project disciplines
- Review and interpret engineering, piping, structural and fabrication drawings and specifications
- Develop and monitor project schedules, work plans, progress and deliverables
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, HSE, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, quality and technical requirements
- Prepare progress reports, technical documentation and project updates
- Support resolution of technical and execution issues
What they are asking for
- BEng or BSc in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Civil
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in onshore/offshore fabrication and installation of piping and structural steelwork
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDMS, MS Office, MS Project and Primavera P6
- Strong ability to interpret and coordinate engineering, piping, structural and fabrication drawings
- Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, construction methodologies and engineering standards
- Strong project coordination, analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
