Project Civil Engineer Coordinator (In House)
About this role
The Project Civil Engineer Coordinator (In House) acts as the resident in-house engineering and project delivery authority for Aldelia’s Nigerian facilities, overseeing the full project lifecycle from scope definition to handover. The role is based in Rivers and involves multi-site work across Nigeria with travel to project sites as required.
What you would do
- Translate management requirements into the scope of works and delivery plans.
- Prepare or coordinate bills of quantities, cost estimates and risk analyses for management approval.
- Establish work procedures for each work package from concept through site execution.
- Monitor budgets, schedules, changes and risks; recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs and review drawings, specifications and contractor submissions.
- Travel to project sites to supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with approved documents and HSE requirements.
What they are asking for
- BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline; COREN registration is mandatory.
- NSE membership/registration is required or strongly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience, with at least 8 years cognate experience in project execution, construction supervision or facilities/infrastructure project management.
- Experience delivering building, infrastructure and construction projects in Nigeria, preferably within oil and gas, energy or large corporate multi-site environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; working knowledge of MS Project and Primavera; PowerPoint and advanced Excel is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of design codes and practices, QA/QC requirements and HSE expectations; ability to prepare scopes of work, technical specifications, bills of quantities, cost estimates and execution plans.
