About this role
Pathfinder International seeks a Program Officer to oversee activities in Kaduna, working with state government bodies and local partners to ensure delivery across four project pillars: evidence-to-policy translation, demand generation and risk communication, high-level political engagement, and domestic financing and accountability. The role acts as the primary on‑the‑ground presence in the state, coordinating with state ministries and agencies and managing the state CSO partner. It aims to institutionalise immunisation and HPV vaccination within the state health system beyond campaign periods. The officer provides operational and technical leadership for the project in Kaduna and supports engagement with senior government and local authorities. The position requires extensive collaboration, data handling, and capacity building across multiple stakeholders to sustain political commitment and financing for routine immunisation and HPV delivery.
