About this role
The Program Officer supports planning, delivery and follow-up of NFDP project activities in Borno, ensuring quality assistance is delivered on time and within budget for displacement-affected communities.
What you would do
- Develop detailed work plans, activity schedules and procurement plans with the project team
- Organise field activities such as distributions, trainings, community meetings and awareness sessions
- Support beneficiary targeting, registration and verification using established criteria
- Coordinate with logistics, finance and M&E to ensure supplies, funds and data tools are available
- Engage with community leaders and authorities to plan and deliver activities and obtain feedback
- Track progress, prepare weekly and monthly reports, and raise risks with the supervisor
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree or HND in a relevant field (Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Agriculture, Education) or related program area
- At least 2 years of experience in humanitarian or development project implementation
- Experience working with communities, including displaced populations, is advantageous
- Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
- Clear report writing and basic Excel abilities
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Hausa or Kanuri is a plus
