Professional Technical Planner - Contract

About this role

Senior Technical Planner (contract) at Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, Lagos, within the Portfolio Management department. The role supports the OML30 portfolio by identifying production improvement opportunities, conducting technical and commercial evaluations, and guiding planning decisions through data analytics. The position reports to the Portfolio Manager.

What you would do

• Contributes technical input to the annual work programme and budget
• Coordinates cross-functional teams to define, develop, and implement planning processes
• Executes key business initiatives to drive operations and implement best practices
• Contributes to short-, medium-, and long-term production forecasting for the OML-30 asset budget planning
• Prepares and issues the annual production budget/forecast based on validated reservoir well profiles and planned activities
• Builds and maintains relationships with JV partners and represents HEOSL at external meetings

What they are asking for

• Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
• Practical experience in business planning, production forecasting, reservoir management, and reserves/resource volume estimation
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau or similar data tools
• Strong mathematics skills (statistics and algebra) and good analytical abilities
• Proactive in nature with strong planning and organisation skills, able to meet short deadlines
