Professional Service Lead
About this role
Sambus Geospatial Nigeria Limited seeks an experienced geospatial professional to lead project delivery, provide technical direction and support business development. The role involves planning and running geospatial projects, delivering technical leadership on GIS solutions, and collaborating with Sales on proposals and client needs. The person will supervise and develop the professional services team, monitor performance, and manage budgets and expenditure. The employer operates as a geospatial intelligence company and is a distributor of Esri software and related geospatial products in multiple West African countries. The position is based in Lagos and targets individuals with strong leadership and GIS technical skills.
What you would do
- Plan and implement geospatial projects to meet quality, timeline and budget targets.
- Provide technical leadership on GIS solutions such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, NV5 and related platforms.
- Conduct product demonstrations and work with Sales and Business Development on technical proposals and client requirements.
- Supervise, mentor and develop the professional services team to improve delivery and capabilities.
- Monitor departmental performance and prepare periodic reports.
- Develop budgets and track expenditure for the department.
- Drive operational efficiency and strengthen client relationships to achieve departmental goals.
What they are asking for
- Degree or professional qualification in Geospatial Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in geospatial project implementation and team leadership.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, NV5 and related GIS technologies.
- Knowledge of spatial analysis, data manipulation, remote sensing, GPS/GNSS and geodatabases.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript or SQL is an added advantage.
