Production Supervisor
About this role
A production supervisor role based in Lagos, Nigeria, overseeing daily manufacturing activities and a production team to meet quality, safety and productivity targets in a FMCG/chemical environment.
What you would do
- Oversee daily production operations to minimise downtime and waste
- Coordinate shift activities and smooth handovers between shifts
- Monitor resources including manpower, machinery and raw materials for optimal use
- Supervise and coach production operators and technicians
- Ensure adherence to manufacturing processes, formulations and SOPs
- Analyse production data, report on performance and implement continuous improvement actions
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related science
- 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- 4–7 years in manufacturing, preferably FMCG/personal care/chemical sectors
- Knowledge of GMP/quality systems and safety practices
- Proficiency in MS Office and data reporting
- Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills
