Production Shift Supervisor
About this role
GBfoods in Lagos is hiring a Production Shift Supervisor to oversee daily production operations and ensure targets and quality standards are met. The role is for someone with substantial supervisory experience in food or beverage manufacturing and familiarity with SAP and GMP practices.
What you would do
- Receive daily production orders from the Production Manager and work to achieve daily and monthly targets.
- Act as SAP key-user for material requisitions, posting production, stock monitoring and resolving COGI.
- Monitor raw and packaging material stock daily and verify weights of finished goods for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with production process steps, SOPs, maintain 5S and adhere to GMP and HSE practices.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance to ensure material quality, equipment availability and prompt fault resolution.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly department reports, organise daily production meetings, and supervise staff organisation and development.
What they are asking for
- HND or BSc in operations/production management or a related field; professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum seven years of progressive supervisory experience in food or beverage manufacturing; industry-specific supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with SAP and MS Office.
- Knowledge of root-cause analysis, HACCP, GMPs, Organic Handling Procedures and food plant safety.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and process improvement.
- Ability to manage resources (people, materials and costs) and strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
