Production Pharmacist (Oral Dosage Forms)

Juhel Nigeria Limited, a long‑standing pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Enugu, is seeking a Production Pharmacist (Oral Dosage Forms). The role involves supervising daily production activities in line with approved schedules, ensuring GMP, SOP, and safety compliance, and coordinating with QA/QC to maintain product quality. The ideal candidate will monitor processes from dispensing to packaging, manage batch records and production documentation, and oversee equipment cleaning and maintenance. Collaboration with other departments and involvement in process improvement to boost productivity and quality are expected. The position requires a licensed pharmacist with relevant Nigerian registration and a BPharm, along with English language proficiency and basic software skills.
What you would do
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities per approved schedules
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and safety regulations
- Monitor production processes including dispensing, tableting, filling, packaging, and labelling
- Maintain and complete batch manufacturing records and production documentation
- Collaborate with QA and QC to ensure product quality and compliance
- Oversee production equipment, cleaning, maintenance, and usage
- Identify and report production deviations and non-conformities
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of materials and finished products
- Enforce PPE use, hygiene, and housekeeping in the production area
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality

- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm)
- Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN)
- Completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Good knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and SOPs
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Self-driven, proactive, and takes initiative
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork
- High level of integrity, attention to detail and commitment to quality
- English language proficiency and basic computer software skills (Google Docs/Sheets/Slides or equivalents)
