Production Operator
About this role
A Production Operator role for experienced oil and gas professionals to monitor and operate upstream production equipment across offshore and other locations in Nigeria. The position requires hands-on operation, troubleshooting, safety compliance and effective communication during shifts.
What you would do
- Maintain production logs and shift handover information
- Monitor process parameters and equipment, identify abnormalities and take corrective action
- Operate and monitor wells, separators, vessels, pumps, compressors and related systems
- Conduct field rounds, inspections and sampling to verify equipment condition and process stability
- Support maintenance activities through equipment handover and reinstatement
- Assist with PTW, LOTO, SIMOPS and emergency response activities
What they are asking for
- BOSIET/HUET offshore certification and offshore medical where applicable
- H₂S certification where offshore deployment applies
- Minimum 10 years in oil and gas with strong upstream E&P exposure
- Hands-on experience operating production equipment and utilities
- Good knowledge of HSE, procedures and technical documentation
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Production Engineering or related technical field
