Production Manager (Extrusion) role for Nutri K Limited in Kano. The job involves planning, organising, directing and controlling all extrusion production activities to ensure safe, efficient and cost effective manufacturing of nutritional foods in line with quality, food safety and regulatory standards. What you would do
- Plan and manage production schedules to meet demand and business objectives.
- Ensure output meets quantity, quality, food safety and cost requirements.
- Supervise production teams and coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance.
- Enforce HACCP, GMP, hygiene standards and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor processes, optimise efficiency, and manage materials, costs, waste and rework.
- Prepare production reports, KPIs and participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
What they are asking for
- Degree: HND or Bachelor's in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Production Management or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in food manufacturing; at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience with HMI operating system (3 years) and computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, production planning and food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 or equivalent) and occupational health and safety principles.
- Ability to control production costs and manage performance; lead and motivate production teams; analyse production data and KPIs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools; understanding regulatory and compliance requirements for food industries.
