Production Manager
About this role
A Production Manager is needed to oversee daily shopfloor operations in an aluminium extrusion facility in Awka, Anambra. The role targets output achievement, process improvement, safety and quality compliance, with leadership over multiple shifts and collaboration with other departments.
What you would do
- Track raw material usage and support stock management
- Meet production targets while minimising waste and costs
- Train and mentor operators to improve skills and performance
- Apply TPM and lean manufacturing to reduce downtime and boost equipment efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement and ensure adherence to SOPs
- Maintain safety, quality and maintenance standards and coordinate with maintenance, QA, logistics and planning teams
What they are asking for
- Willingness to live on-site in Awka (strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in production supervision or plant operations
- Proven ability to optimise output, reduce costs and improve processes
- Strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Odoo experience is a plus)
