About this role
A Product Manager for Supabase Realtime will own the developer-facing surface for building live, collaborative and event-driven apps using Realtime features such as Broadcast, Presence and Postgres Changes. The role involves collaborating with Engineering, Design and GTM to shape the Realtime roadmap, pricing, and developer experience, and using data to prioritise work. It is remote and requires understanding of full-stack app development and real-time patterns. The position is suitable for someone with experience building developer tools or platforms where real-time is central, and who communicates decisions in writing. The role also involves aligning cross-functional teams and planning future capabilities, including AI-related experiences.
What you would do
- Collaborate with customers of varying sizes to understand needs and feedback.
- Own problem statements and solution rationale for the Realtime roadmap.
- Work with Engineering and Design to shape the developer experience for prioritised problems.
- Define how Realtime evolves to support future app experiences and integration with other Supabase products.
- Own packaging and pricing decisions for Realtime with Pricing, Finance and Billing.
- Analyze data to understand how developers use Realtime and identify areas to tackle first.
- Keep Engineering, Design and GTM aligned on plans and timelines.
What they are asking for
- 5+ years in Product Management for developer tools or equivalent experience (e.g., ex-founder).
- Experience owning an app development platform, feature or framework where real-time was core.
- Comfort with data-driven decision making and querying/cleaning findings.
- Familiarity with Postgres and logical replication.
- Ability to work asynchronously and write decisions without relying on meetings.
- Strong signals (nice to have): existing developer audience, experience with sync engines or live-query products, exposure to gaming, AR or collaborative tools, prior involvement with Supabase.
