Product Manager - Financial Systems

About this role

Paystack is looking for a Product Manager for Financial Systems to own money movement related products, including settlements, merchant payouts, refunds and disputes. The role covers the full product lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration, working with multiple teams such as engineering, data, design, Finance, Treasury, Support and Compliance. It is suited to someone with at least three years of product management experience in fintech or financial services, with experience building payment or financial infrastructure products.

What you would do

• Discover problems through merchant and internal user conversations, product data, operational incidents and partner feedback.
• Map end-to-end money movement flows and identify dependencies and failure points.
• Define and specify improvements across settlements, payouts, refunds, disputes and related Financial Systems products.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and data partners to deliver reliable and understandable solutions.
• Define success metrics, monitor products after launch and use learnings to improve them.
• Manage escalations and align stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Support, Compliance and other teams.

• Strong systems thinking with ability to map dependencies across teams and systems.
• Proficiency in using data and operational evidence to inform decisions and measure outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with engineers on technical products and fluency with integrations, APIs, ledgers or reconciliation flows.
• Confidence communicating with merchants and internal users, handling escalations and prioritising competing priorities.
